We use Umami Analytics to analyse website usage — a privacy-friendly, open-source alternative to Google Analytics that we self-host on our own servers.
What Umami collects:

- Referring website (referrer)
- Browser type and operating system (user agent)
- Approximate screen resolution
- Country of access (derived from IP address — the IP itself is never stored)

Since Umami processes no personal data and operates without cookies, consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR is not required under current legal interpretation. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving our web offering).

Server Log Files
Our hosting provider automatically collects information in so-called server log files when you access the website. This includes the date and time of the request, the URL accessed, the amount of data transferred, and the HTTP status code. IP addresses are only retained briefly for security purposes and are deleted automatically thereafter. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
